Reminders that follow your mileage
Set an oil change for every 6 months or 5,000 miles and Motored watches both. The timing comes from how much you have been driving lately, so a month of long commutes moves the reminder closer and a month in the garage pushes it back.
You hear about it once, a little before it is due. Never a drip, never a badge that sits there going red.
Intervals already written down
Oil, tire rotation, brake fluid, cabin filters, spark plugs, timing belts, coolant, insurance renewal and the annual inspection. Every number is yours to change before you save it.
Whatever it runs on
Gas, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric, hydrogen, LPG. An electric car is never asked about oil changes, and a gas car is never asked about kWh.

Scan the VIN or type what you drive. Fill in as much or as little as you like — none of it is required, and Motored would rather show nothing than a guess.

A logbook you cannot get back out of is not a logbook. If Motored disappeared tomorrow you would still have every word of it, in CSV and JSON, readable by anything.

Questions
Before you download it
Do I need an account?
No. Motored has no sign-up, no email confirmation and no password. Open the app and start writing. Buying Pro goes through the App Store or Google Play, which handles the payment with the account you already have there.
Does Motored sync between my phone and my tablet?
Yes, with Pro. Buy Pro, create an account, and your cars, entries and photos are on every device you sign in on. Motored offers this after you buy, never before.
Free stays free and stays offline. A free logbook is never asked to sign up and nothing in it is ever uploaded. Sync is yours to turn on, Settings turns it off, and the privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored, where, and for how long.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Logging a job, checking what is due, reading the history and running the cost report all work with no signal at all. Two things do use the network when you ask for them: decoding a VIN, and buying Pro.
What happens to my logbook if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Every car, entry, reminder and photo stays where it is, and export and backup keep working — they are free on every plan, including no plan. What you lose is the ability to keep more than one car active.
Can I get my data out?
Whenever you like, free. Motored writes two CSVs and a JSON file, bundles them with your photos into a zip, and hands it to the share sheet. CSV opens in any spreadsheet; the JSON is the same data in a form a program can read.
Does it track fuel and MPG?
Yes — every fill-up, with the miles per gallon you actually get rather than the manufacturer’s figure. Partial fills and fills you forgot to log are both handled rather than quietly wrecking the average. Electric cars log charging the same way, in miles per kWh or kWh/100 km.
How many cars can I keep?
One for free, for as long as you like. Motored Pro lifts that to as many as you want — it is the only thing Pro unlocks. Everything else in the app is the same on both.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and Android. Motored is built for the phone rather than the tablet — it is the thing you have in your hand in a car park.
What does Motored collect about me?
Your logbook is yours and we do not read it. Motored does send anonymous product analytics — which screens get used and which features get tapped, never what you wrote in them — and it sends a VIN to a US government database when you ask it to decode one. The privacy policy lists every one of those, what leaves the phone and what does not.
